Part-Time Jobs Available for 2010 Census in Utah
Looking for work?
The U.S. Census Bureau is looking to hire more than 1,000 Census Takers in Salt Lake County for the 2010 population survey. The jobs are temporary, part-time work and will pay $14 an hour.
Census Takers will offer personal assistance to individuals who do not complete and return their census form by mail. Salt Lake County residents interested in applying for census jobs should call the Salt Lake Census Office at 801 736-5060 to schedule a time and location to take a 30-minute multiple-choice test that measure the skills required for census employment. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check.
Every 10 years, the Census Bureau is required by the U.S. Constitution to count each person residing in the United States. Utah is one of several states with significant population growth. Be a part of the nationwide population survey while earning extra money and helping to ensure your community is accurately counted in the 2010 Census. Request Funds for Community Projects
The Kearns Community Council believes that the best way to serve the citizens of Kearns is to initiate council specific projects and citizens committees to target particular issues and also partner with local groups already established in our community to promote the events and services they provide.
Salt Lake County has indicated that there might be additional monies available (year end) for viable Community Council projects. If you and/or your group have a project that needs funding please put together a proposal, download the Funds Request Form and bring it to a Community Council member as soon as possible for consideration.
