Call To Order---Meeting called to order by Kevin Lundy, Chair
Roll Call Of Members---Seven council members in attendance, as listed above.
Minutes---Public minutes for 9-5-06 were approved as written.
Executive and public minutes approved as written for 9-19-06.

Unfinished Business
---Minutes On Website------
Chuck stated that webmaster Bryan Stone Daly did not have all the minutes to post on website.
Paula stated that she has emailed all of them to him, after approved by council.
Until this last email Bryan sent she was not aware he has not been receiving them.
He would have been nice if he would have let someone know before now.
Chuck stated he would let Bryan know this and ask him to let us know what minutes he needed.

Community Christmas Party---Kathy reported that the council Christmas party would combine with the Oval on their community night.
Through email from Kathy all council members were ok with that.
Kathy is in the process of working with Marc at the Oval in setting this up and at this time does not have anything definite in place.
There is $598.72 still available in our special funds for this and sub for Santa project.
Chuck suggested that we use approx. $100.00 for sub for Santa and the rest for the Christmas party.
Kathy said the date would be 12-8-06 and that she does not know exactly what she needs.
Chuck suggested that she put together a budget of what she needs and emails to all members.
Kathy ok with that and council agreed.

Council Newsletter---Chuck stated he received a call from Tawna Pippin stating that she has only received an article from Sam for the newsletter.
The deadline is 10-18-06 at 11:00 AM. The Journal will be sending over Tawna a template of this copy.
Chuck will give Tawna November and December community calendar.
Paula will take pictures of our COP officers and email to Tawna. This is for an article on the POP program they are implementing.
Chuck suggested that we also, in the future, invite different organizations to send in an article.

Citizen Excellence Award---Chuck feel council should have this program in place.
Paula stated this is the same program that was brought to the council months ago and the council at that time “beat it to death” .
Debby wanted to know the difference between then and now, or because someone else is presenting it this time.
She also stated she thought the KCPA had taken it over.
Chuck said they can have whatever award they want to make, but the council should do this.
Kathy stated good idea and is should be up to the council to vote on who should receive award from community nominations.
Chuck said he would like to nominate Amy Sorensen for all her hard work.
Paula suggested that since we only have a few minutes left in this year perhaps we could talk about this after the first of the year.

New Business---None

Announcements---As stated on agenda, announced, and information on back table.
Kevin made a special announcement that our next council meeting on November 7, 2006 will not be held do to elections taking place.
